The perimeter enclosure structure of the paddle tennis courts is normally made of galvanized steel (there are some where the steel is not galvanized) and they are oven-painted. These antioxidant treatments are usually quite effective but, over time and in high humidity areas, small outbreaks of oxidation may appear.

For this reason, on an annual basis, a visual inspection of the entire metal structure must be carried out. If you see any point or area of rust, you must proceed by sanding said area, apply a cold galvanizing spray (sold in industrial hardware stores) and once applied, allow it to dry and then apply a paint spray in the same RAL color as the existing.

In this way, the structure will be in perfect condition for many years.


The lawn requires annual maintenance consisting of passing a machine (similar in size to a lawnmower) that cleans impurities (accumulated dirt that remains between the fibers of the lawn) sucking the surface sand and passing it through a filter. At the same time, it allows the fibers to be opened, avoiding the compaction of the sand with the grass (which leads to problems of water seepage and ultimately to users slipping in said areas).

If such maintenance is carried out, a perfect playability is achieved on the track and the grass lasts longer.

For clubs with few tracks and individuals, this service is usually outsourced. In clubs or facilities with more than 6 courts, there is usually a machine and maintenance personnel.


The state of the crystals must be checked every six months. This maintenance consists of visually inspecting the position of the windows (that they are perfectly plumb and straight) as well as their fixings to the metal structure. The inspection can be carried out by the owner or manager of the installation, but if an action is required because it is in poor condition, the maintenance service is contracted (at least 2 operators, suction cups, replacement neoprene and tools for handling are required). of hardware).


Normally no maintenance is required. It is only when a problem appears (an LED does not work or it blinks).

In any case, a specialized company is called, both at a technical level (such as an electricity company or a specialist in paddle tennis courts) that has to carry the auxiliary lifting means to fix the LED or proceed to its repair. change.


It is important to inspect the state of the metal posts at the level of rust as well as that they are perfectly fixed to the ground. The tension of the net offers a lot of force and, over time, could lift the fixing plate or even the base on which it is fixed.

It is also necessary to check that the tensioning system is in good condition. If it looks in poor condition, one would have to be bought so that, at the moment it could break or fail, it can be changed without having to leave the track inoperative.

Finally, on a weekly basis, it is necessary to check that the nets are well tensioned according to the regulatory measures (0.92 mt at the ends and 0.88 mt in the center)
